Duties of the Planning Commission (05-03-18) (Monroe County)

May 3, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$50.00

Much of a planning commission’s time is often focused on the duty of reviewing land development applications. However, the planning commission’s collective effort should also be dedicated to the responsibility of planning for the community’s future. As such, this course will be divided into two parts. First, we will review key provisions and helpful suggestions related to typical planning commission tasks. Second, the course will focus on the broader process of community planning by engaging the audience in a question and answer format. We urge planning commission members, municipal staff, and elected officials to attend this session because collective leadership is critical in expanding the role of the planning commission and implementing municipal change.
